Meet The Teachers
Charity Miller, Ed. S.
Charity Miller earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University, an M.A. in Teaching from LaGrange College, and an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from Valdosta State University. With 17 years of experience as a secondary mathematics instructor within the Troup County (Ga.) School System, she is a national STEM certified educator with gifted endorsement. Charity was named the 2019-2020 THINC College & Career Academy Teacher of the Year. She served for 5 years as the TCSS Data Support Specialist and is presently the TCSS Assistant Director of State Assessments and Accountability.
Laura Lee Pike, Ed. S.
Laura Lee Pike holds a B.S. and M.Ed. in Secondary English Language Arts from Auburn University and an Ed.S. in Secondary Curriculum and Instruction from Columbus State University. With 39 years of experience as a high school English teacher, she is College Board Advanced Placement and Georgia Gifted certified and has primarily served students completing Honors and AP coursework. Laura Lee was named the 2016-2017 THINC College & Career Academy Teacher of the Year and the 2016-2017 Troup County (Ga.) School System High School Teacher of the Year. Laura Lee now serves as an English interventionist at the Troup County Career Center where she was named the 2023-2024 TC3 Teacher of the Year. She was also named the 2023-2024 TCSS High School Teacher of the Year.
